Corporation" During the summer of 1946, Sam Hsu, a junior at the University of Shanghai , visited the Taiwan and fell in love with the island. The summer trip inspired Sam to return to the Formosan Island to begin his entrepreneurial career. He graduated the following year and established "National Appliances Co." in downtown Taipei . In addition to acting as a sales agent, the company imported equipment, such as radios and amplifiers, from Shanghai and Hong Kong . When the communist regime gained control of China in 1949, the company switched to imports from Japan and the U.S.

At the same time, an assembly plant for radios and amplifiers was built in Taiwan to meet the high market demand and avoid strict import restrictions. In 1962, the first Taiwan TV station, TTV, began operations. This event officially launched Taiwan into the era of television. As a result, the assembly plant updated its production line to assemble television sets, which are marketed under the " Sylvania " brand. 。

 During this time period

During this time period, the principals of OTC included Gates Radio (later acquired by Harris in 1957), Sylvania Electric, P.R. Mallory (Duracell, etc.), Turner Microphone, David Bogen Power Amplifier, Eimac Electron Tubes, University Speakers, Andrew Cables, Microwave Associates, and Rocket International. Business focused mainly on broadcast and electrical education appliances.

Since 1947, OTC has been supplying broadcast and telecommunications equipment to the Taiwan market. OTC's vision has changed through the years but mission remains the same: to introduce the latest technology to Taiwan . In striving towards its mission, OTC is committed in providing quality customer care. To better meet customers' needs, OTC set up an in-house team of engineers in 1995 to provide installation and maintenance services for complete turnkey broadcast systems.。
